Description

DNA Size Selection for Next-Gen Sequencing with Pulsed-Field Size-Selection for fragments up to 50kb (range 100 bp – 50 kb).

Applications

DNA (or RNA) size selection and purification for broad range of Downstream Technologies including DNA sequencing, genotyping, ChIP-seq, Long-read sequencing (PacBio, Oxford Nanopore). Pre casted gel cassettes for DNA selections are available in different agarose concentrations to provide a full range of size selection options between 100bp up to 50kb.  For smaller fragment sizes, internal standards may be used for higher accuracy and increased sample capacity (from 4 to 5 samples/cassette). Higher molecular weight fragments require a dedicated lane to run a calibration marker. To resolve very large DNA fragments, pulsed-field runs are applied.

This Shared Research Facilities equipment database offers researchers from universities, research institutes and companies, including start-ups, the opportunity to find research equipment with their relevant expert and to use it, generally on a pay-per-use basis. The equipment is available at different locations at Wageningen Campus or other (company) locations. If you want to share your own research devices or if you need more information, please contact us.
